We are sad to say that Martin Avery died quite suddenly in early May 2002. His work was distinctive, thoughtful, his attitude always keen, willing to share ideas and techniques. He is sadly missed by us all near and far who had the pleasure of knowing this giant of the (digital + conventional) Monochrome Image.
