YGG 2003 takes place at Manchester's biggest unsigned Music Venue the 830 capacity Palace Nightclub in Levenshulme, the heart of the
Irish Community in the city.

The launch night featured the first heat of Boddingtons YGG Unsigned 2003. The competition which is now in its eighth year was launched after the club received a demo tape from a local unknown Irish Manc band called 'Oasis' the rest as they say is Rock n Roll history & the tape is in our musical archives. Is aim is to uncover the cream of Europe's Unsigned talent with Irish roots within the largest
Irish festival in Europe.
Six bands were selected from over 200 entries to battle it out in this first heat to follow in those famous footsteps and become the next world conquering super group.
