The Small Print

 

If you intend booking us to cover a live gig, please give us at least 2-3 weeks warning. To avoid disappointment - book & arrange early! Always provide full postal address & postcode, (especially for smaller pub venues, everyone can find the Manchester Roadhouse, but who knows where the Pemberton "Ravin" club is?). Chances are if you cannot find it via Multimap.com or a similar mapping site, then nor can we!. Choose a venue with decent lighting / fogger etc where you will look good on stage. Get an accurate starting time & some indication of how long your set(s) will be. We will arrive approx 15 minutes prior & you need to put 2 names on the door or your guest list (Photographer + 1). Alternatively, if there is no door list, despatch a ticket / press pass by post in advance. Make the venue/security aware that you have a photographer coming down. Payment for the session will most likely be needed on the night.

 

Outdoor Portrait Session Notes

If you want to arrange an outdoor portrait session, please give us at least 4-5 weeks warning. If we haven't met you before, we will arrange a preliminary get together & chances are arrange the actual session about 3-4 weeks after that. At the initial meeting, bring along your ideas for the image you need, examples of stuff you already have (images you dislike as well as what you do like), flyers , posters & music sample. Collect any images you like from CD's, magazines (ie 'Q' , the NME, Kerrang etc) and bring them along. Getting great portrait shots is much harder than gig photography. At a gig, the performance occurs on the night, with portrait sessions we need to mould the raw material (thats you & us!). The images can be done outdoors, at a studio or at your usual rehearsal rooms. If we need to hire an additional (photo) studio, there may be an additional charge for this. On the day of the shoot, bring a mixture of clothing (you will be changing during the 2 hour or so session!), and any props (including instruments, the inevitable sunglasses etc). Put everything in your car boot or van. If we use it / don't use it, at least we have the option.

 

 

 

Goth & Alternative Fashion (a terrible term 'fashion' I know, but I think you get the picture!) models always required. The more interesting the better. Generally NO NUDE work required. So don't waste anyone's time by suggesting your partner/wife might be the next Jordan and she will look great nude. We will just snigger a bit, then delete your email! Test Shoots undertaken. If you do email us, attach one or more small (under 90K) JPEG images & ensure we can email you back. (ie check you haven't got that email anti-spam filter set too strict. It wouldn't be the first time we have been emailed from AOL & had all replies bounced back!)
