ALL SET FOR GHOSTLY RETURN A GROUP of Northwich youngsters are planning a frightening comeback after refusing to be beaten by a number of setbacks. The Parents Youth Support Team (PYST) is fighting back after a spate of bad luck including stolen equipment and being forced from their Northwich base after fears of asbestos poisoning. The group is preparing to get back on track the only way they know how - with a celebration. Plans are afoot to organise a special Hallowe'en Alternative Carnival on October 31, when youngsters intend to parade through the streets in their ghoulish costumes. It will start from the Northwich District Youth Club in Winnington Street, through the town centre and on to the Gladstone Club, where there will be a band night. PYST organiser Carrie Laugharne said a youth committee has been formed to organise the event. "We will keep on going - this is for all the kids of all ages," she said. "They are really enthusiastic, and they've been coming up with loads of positive ideas. "Some are making their own costumes for the parade - I'm sure there will be a few outrageous ones!" The first takes place on August 9 when the group is travelling to Blackpool for a day of shopping and fun at the Pleasure Beach and Sandcastle. The coach leaves Northwich Memorial Hall at 9.30am and returns to the hall at 11pm after a day in the sun . The cost of the trip is £7. On August 20, the members of PYST are to visit Waterworld water park with its heated pools and water slides. The coach leaves the Memorial Hall at 10am and returns at 6pm. The trip costs £10 including entry to the park and transport. PYST is also holding discos at the Memorial Hall on August 2 and 16 and Band Nights at Winnington Rec on August 8 and 22.
