Gabrielles Wish, the nearest thing to seeing Joy Division Formed in1993 in Manchester, gabrielles wish started to produce sounds always original and sometimes confrontational mixing dark electronica and a powerful unnerving live sound. influences and sound a likes are zappa, joy division ,boards of canada, the fall, autechre, new order, the stooges, the moffs, the chameleons, early genesis, levitation and the darkside amongst many others. After an encounter with the late rob gretton, new order manager and owner of robs records, pleasure and Manchester records; they were signed and released a clear vinyl double a sided single with the excellent jane weaver(kill laura - also featured on these pages). featuring the tracks warmonger and marooned which were produced by top music producer Chris Nagle. |

info - Duglas T. Stewart Very
much the leader of the Bandits since it was formed in the eighties,
Duglas is a young romantic at heart writing all those love songs which
just reveal this fact. He is married and has a young daughter called
Rhonda who is featured on his solo album Frankinstein. He used to be
the Scottish Corespondent for the Mark Radcliffe Show until it was dropped,
bringing in some Scottish culinary delights that made Mark and Lard
feel ill. The best being his home-made Ginger wine and shortbread. He
appears on Radio Scotland sometimes in the morning. Francis Macdonald The now infamous BMXster has worked with nearly every band in Scotland including the also brilliant Teenage Fanclub. He currently manages the Shoeshine Records label and is a major part of the Radio Sweethearts too. With so many collaborations on the go Francis is a busy man indeed. Sushil K. Dade Sushil is the nice bloke who puts those great interludes onto the albums. He also does a lot of the designing of the covers of the album. Recently he has started Future Pilot AKA which are basically collaborations between himself and other great musicians such as Kim Fowley and the Cornershop guy. The results are sometimes nothing short of brilliant and are released on his own Via Satallite record label. Oh and he also turned down the chance to work with Kylie, good stuff! Lawrence Kim He's from America. He has recently left the band. Gabriel Telerman Gabriel has become a father not so long ago and is happily settled in Scotland. When not playing gigs and changing nappies, he is doing a computing degree part-time at the Glasgow Caledonian University. Comes from Argentina |
