Formed in Manchester towards the end 1997, EMERGENCY EXIT are DAN ROWLANDS (Guitar/Vocals), JIM CADWALLENDER (Bass), JOE BUSHEL (Guitar) and GARY DOHERTY (Drums). EMERGENCY EXIT are now well established on the Manchester live circuit, regularly playing at Manchester’s premier unsigned venues. The band’s sound has developed from its earliest days, difficult to pigeon-hole, its originality and scope have become its trademark. Much material has been recorded and has been available in Piccadilly Records, HMV and now on the internet. There have also been rave reviews in Manchester’s CityLife and Manchester Evening News. An enormously successful September gig at West One Four in London, where the band played to a full house, has seen them invited back twice, as the London following is growing. The live favourite, EVERY SINGLE DAY, was released on London’s MATCHBOX RECORDINGS compilation album, 'UP & COMING' in autumn 2001. 2002 will see the band playing more, especially outside of Manchester and hopefully some festival appearances.

This Manchester based outfit who formed in early 1998 draw on a variety of influences, ranging from the rawness of the Sex Pistols to the spirituality of the Stone Roses, presenting an original combination of lyrics, melody and energy; the band have a strong sense of their own identity.
