8 DAYS LATE

The 3 lads from 8 days late were 1st up to warm up the crowd. Suffering from a 3 yard gap between them and the punters did stunt the proceeding ssomewhat! It was obvious that the band had clocked up some experience from regular slots in Wigan, Manchester and Warrington. Recent gigs have included Edge Hill College, The Tavern and Jabez Clegg.

Eight days Late are Johnny Djabarouti on Guitar / Lead Vocals, Jonny Young on Bass Guitar / Backing Vocals and Chris Manning on percussion. Checkout the band at http://www.angelfire.com/rock3/8dayslate

IMMUNE

Next up Immune. A band which pumped the Rock up a few notches and injected some attitude. The opening was 'Five nations' and 'Ghost of the 21st Century'. No shortage of action on stage with good animated guitar and bass playing. 'Kiss me goodbye' + 'Lock and Load' betrayed some of the bands 90's rock metal influences.

LAP

LAP pushed the rock slider right up to 100%. The recent Excalibur music signings have an EP to sell (checkout http://www.emotionrecords.co.uk/buyProduct.php?productId=41 if you didn't buy one at the gig) Tracks from the EP were aired tonight. 'Words' and 'Ruthless' kicked off the set, smooth riffs and a rich throbbing bass. The Fidel Castro look-e-likee on the skins just completed the picture. Manchesters version of ZZ-Top? Some work still to go on the beards, but some obvious influences there. The tracks still came coming with 'New Ground' 'Sleep' and 'Awkward'. By the time we got to 'Beef', Tony and his wirefree guitar was on a table serenading the punters. Rock and F**king Roll!

LAP are from Manchester and are Tony (vox + guitar), Jim (Drums) and Phil (bass + vocals).
L.A.P. have been gigging around North west venues covering Fubar in Southport, Liverpool Barfly, The Old Wine Vaults in Holywell, The Manchester Roadhouse, Jillys Rock World, Manchester Grand Central and the Witchwood at Ashton-under-Lyne.

THINK FAST CHARLIE

TFC were on top form tonight, as animated as ever. 'Last Line' was the opener tonight and got the crowd on their feet. 'Eject and Fall', 'Off the show reel' and 'Long Dead Shadows' brought back memories of past Think Fast Charlie gigs. TFC have a video in the pipeline and a new release. No doubt we will be seeing more of TFC before the year is out.
