Tidy

An heroic set from Tidy, an empty dancefloor and giving them the benefit of the doubt, not brilliant acoustics.
Kicking off with Slightly Mad, About You and the bands homage to Stella Artois, Anno 1366. By the time we were into Searching and Play my Game there were a few punters on the mosh floor, but it was hard work for the Tidy lads. Professionally they soldiered on with Last Year in the rain, Angry, Away from me and Atmospheric Experience. Only the Darkness classic 'I believe in a thing called love' managed to salvage the night for Tidy, holding down a 0-0 draw at home.

Three Ways West

From DeponEye's stomping ground, Burnley, 3wayswest mix raw guitar, a pinch of trash metal into a credible punk fusion. With only a few gigs under their belt, 2ways certainly don't lack attitude. A fat set kicking off with The Caustic Stripper, Youre one of them, Honeyguard and Traversee was enough to get a few die-hard moshers onto the floor. The Burnley pedigree is laid bare with Rage One and White Mans Paradise, not everyone is so shallow to see the BMP as an answer to such diverse issues back home. Cornucopia, Mister Pyrite, Everything Outside followed. By the time Shades of Pink and Extreme Metal Order finished the set I was coming around to ThreeWaysWest.

Three Ways west are Andrew Jones on guitar and vocals, Adam Stephenson on guitar, Rob Ashworth on percussion and Tom Cross on Bass. With influences as diverse as Chuck Berry, Michael Jackson, The Smiths, Only Fools and Horses and Nirvana there is a real melting pot here.

Sketcher

The new name for The Edge, Sketcher, still seemed to have the Danger Mouse / The Edge T-Shirts from those Edge days, why no new image, we have got to ask? Still, cannot fault the set! Lots of great moves and the usual great material. (yep.. and wheres the new material...too???). Anyway, Hopeless, 28 and Vegas got the lads into a great gig. The End, Missed Out, waste of time and East Summer showed the old Edge Form.
