Guilty Party

Local heros Guilty Party, no srangers to the Rec crowd and did not let us down with a flabby opener. Break the Chain (a new track), Digress and Shut Up did the business for starters. the Rec was packed to capacity, at least half the room would have no trouble picking GP out from an identity parade. The Cause and Act Your Anger saw Guilty Party playing the Rage against the machine card (and no worse for that!), The Hard Times + Let It Burn were no let downs.Nor should they be, we all expect continuous improvement, these lads have been at this for some time. Somethings Wrong, No More Lies and the icing on the cake 'Manifest Destiny' left us all wishing for more. Hopefully, sometime soon!

Guilty Party are Eddie on Vocals, Senior Chivez on Backing Vocals and guitar, quiet Ben on Bass/Backing Vocals and big Barney on Drums.

Monkey Shuffle

These compatriots of the Kirks gave us a cracking show. Stage antics could have been slightly more polished, the bass player looked like he was using the bass as a giant oar to steady a floundering corracle, but apart from that we couldn't think of anything truly offensive to add. Interesting punk that got the moshers moving.

Attempted Rev + For Your Cause booted off the set. No shortage of attitude (must be that Macc thing??). Built on Pride and No Last stand reinforced the punk credentials and livened up the crowd and the die hard fans who had crossed Cheshire for the gig. Certain Degree, Turn a blind eye + Devastation rattled by too fast for my liking and we were in the final straight with a headon mosh heads challenge to 'Take up the fight' and 'Stand Up' Monkey Shuffle are Blair Wilkie (Vox/Rhythm Guitar), Jon Allott (Vox/Lead Guitar), Dave March (Bass/Backing Vocals), Craig Hodson (Drums)
