Sixways Sunday

First up, Neva Say Neva (er...shome mishtake.. Sixways Sunday) kicking off with Black Rose. It seemed the whole Rec' had come to see Owen and the lads! Lots of wild raw guitar racing through 'And she said goodbye', Faded and Deep inside your head. Some of the vocals needed some polishing, but a promising new track 'Nothings Gonna stop us now uplifted the proceedings together with the well trod road of Ours for Now, Yours forever and running out of time, 'Shadows of Tomorrow'. Watch out for this bunch they be coming back soon methinks, lets hope they keep at it!

Twisted Bishop

After a few months of rumours that the Twists were set to split, pop goes the bass player. Not good to lose a bass player the day of a gig in front of 300 people! Holes appeared in the set like a mature swiss cheese as the remaining members limped through the set like a Vauxhall Chevette on snow chains. A noble effort, but this is one gig that the Bishops should have stood up. Tracks like Angel, Blitzkreig, Cobolt and Crack could all have been done better and none did the band justice tonight. What a shame.

Twisted Bishop are based in Winsford, Cheshire and are Tom Cartledge vocals, Mark Lloyd guitars and Parv on drums.

For The Money and Bungle

Unfortunately never well appreciated, but highly skilled, sharp and witty, for me FTM+B were the band of the night. Unusually not on a bill with Nation of Alcoholics, Playing like Baaja with more years of listening to Led Zeppelin under their belt. Early openings of 'Sweet Young Thing' + 'Can You See Me' seemed very familiar. Mr Moustache and Superficial Religion and the aptly named 'Fast One' showed us all what FTMB are capable of
