Forthcoming gigs at the Rec' :-
Nov 14th/21st
Dec 5th/19th

3 great bands of local talent and a packed Gladstone Club provided an ideal setting for a great night. Plenty of action in the mosh pit, a twisted ankle and a few bruises. No chaotic noise tonight, well tread tracks the crowd knew from past appearances.

Production G

Its been sometime since the last visit from Congleton Band 'Production G'. They certainly haven't been sitting on their arses all that time. There was some recognisable tracks in the playlist and a few more recent compositions. Production G's driving Rock/Punk salvoes pleased the crowd instantly. The tight set included 'Kill The Young', 'Change The Record', 'Sail Away', When I Need You, Hello Hello and I'm Alright. A slight under-run allowed time for a well deserved encore, the well chosen 'Fragile'

Evo-Devo

The first official outing for EvoDevo, after providing a hastily arranged taster 2 weeks prior. The ex-Mantra band members and Jon Kerr going from strength to strength.
The set opened with Right Reasons and Speak. Two tracks that set the tone of what EvoDevo are about, a more hardline music agenda than Mantra and their earlier incarnations. Sharp songwriting in the last four months are really paying off.
Third up came the new track 'Too Dead' then 'Claustrophobia Submarine' and another new track 'Future Human'. By now the moshing is gathering pace with a few casualties! The punters are getting used to Evo Devo's tribute to Black Lace, Superman, this time treated to an extra verse. 'Star In My Life', 'Fall' and 'Swirl' rounded off the set with Jon on the deck again, performing imaginary sex on his mic. Ev0 Dev0 were also plugging the Molotov Cocktail 5 track EP, which we think is worth digging into your pocket for.
EvoDevo are Jon Kerr on lead vocals, Dave Wimbush on Drums, Pete Ling (guitar) and Scott Humphrey on bass.

Saving Grace

Top of the bill, pop-punk from Saving Grace. Now minus the temporary female bass player.
A good polished set which the crowd loved.
Saving Grace have been beavering away on some new songs and have been chipping away at a number of Manchester venues; The Attic (with the vaults, kid voodoo and moco), Grand Central as well as the RHN Club Middlewich.
